Pezaro's Fine Works Smithy
This pleasant little shop sits along the edge of the Mercantile District facing across the street the fancifully guilded edge of the Villein District. The namesake and owner of this quaint little shop is Pezaro ip'Nortmun. His skill is rivaled by few in his chosen craft. Despite his great talent and shrewd merchant's mind in all areas save his family, Pezaro is still ranked only as a veteran journeyman even with two different openings for new mastersmiths applicants in his guild over the last three seasons. Most claim that there was some great but unknown indidscretion that took place more than a decade ago that prevents his advancement within his chosen guild. What is worse for him from an income point of view, none of the Gentry will sponsor him so that he might be able to open a shop in the Gentry's Quarter. After years of this snubbing Pezaro now refuses to do any work for someone he knows to be acting on behalf of one of the Gentry or the City Guard Proper. While limiting some of his options for work, it has been a boon to the merchants and renters of the Marsh, Villein, and Festival districts of the city who have made him a man who is seldom bored.
When you first enter his tidy business you walk into the Entry Hall that serves as his Commons Display Room. This room houses a small collection of minor trinkets such as woven bracelets, toys, trick locks, and other simple niceties that are offered up for a prices ranging from a few copper commons up to about a dozen gold orbs.Pezaro will show his nicer various wares to any customer who looks like they could reasonably afford his items; typically he has to be convinced you will be spending at least a score of gold orbs to be taken into the private display room on the second floor of his shoppe. When he is showing customers his more impressive wares or when he is called away for a possible commission or repair work, he leaves his son who is also his only apprentice in the entry hall to watch over the shop.
