Phil started playing rpg's when he was only 11 with the Basic Bungeons & Dragons Booklet written by Moldvay. After only a short time he and his friends moved onto the Advanded Dungeons & Dragons. Even early on, he was the primary DM for his small group in the early days. His gaming experience has grown and evolved through the years, and while ther were a few patches where he wasn't able to get a group together, he always maintained an interest in "the game".

Phil has played in or run a wide variety of games including, Star Wars d6, GURPS (many settings), Champions, Vampire: the Masquerade, Mage: the Ascension, Werewolf: the Apocolypse, Mercenaries-Spies-and-Private-Eyes, Tunnels n' Trolls, Paranoia, Rifts, Nightlife, toon, and all versions of Dungeons & Dragons. He has run some form of most all these games.

Phil has gamed with the players in his current group for a wide variety of years, ranging from a near continuous association with Randy and Missy Smith from 1992, all the way up to the newest member (and youngest) Josh Gillespie who joined the group in April of 2005.

As of May 2005 he was living in southern Indiana across the river from Louisville, Kentucky with a mentally unstable cat that reluctantly answers to the name of Kittyhawk.
