Glass Rod

Seldom seen in the lands of Oerik, the Glass Rod is thought to be made only by those whose blood is mixed with denizens from the Planes of Air and Shadow. These rare items were first found in the possession of a Mirror Mage name Malno Kren. Since that time at least seven other rods were reported to have been found; always in the possession of a wizard or sorcerer (and once a bard) whose magical talents lent more towards deception than direct destruction. The Great School of Magic in Greyhawk would pay handsomly to examine one for an extended period of time, and even more cash to actually witness and record the process by which they are brought into existence.

While holding a Glass Rod a spellcaster is considered one level higher when casting spells from the schools of Illusion and Enchantment and the DC to resist such spells is increased by +2. Additionally, the bearer of the Rod is able to See Invisible as a supernatural ability and receives a +4 bonus to resist all illusion and mind affecting spells.

Glass rods also have the following special abilities usable as noted with an effective caster level of 15 and all saves at a DC 16 + spell level:

Daylight: 3 times per day with a duration of 150 minutes.

Color Spray: 3 times per day.

Mirror Image: 3 times per day.

Wall of Glass: once per day, 15 sections (each section 10 ft long, 10 ft tall, 6 inches wide)

Glass Rain: once per day (15d6 damage, 40 ft diameter)

Prismatic Spray: once per day.
